2020 Census Information

Dear Colleagues,

The New England Regional Council is writing to inform you of the importance of getting our residents involved in the 2020 Census. Its’ Safe, it’s Easy and it’s Important!

The Chelmsford PHA recently hosted a session by the U.S. Census Bureau and David Hedison thoughtfully passed along the information to me.  A short time ago, at a monthly meeting CONN-NAHRO’s speaker from the 2020 Census made a similar presentation on the virtues of participating in the decennial survey.  Additionally, the Census is recruiting PHA residents from throughout our region to apply for temporary high paying jobs to assist with the census.  For example, the pay rate for census takers is $27.50 for Middlesex County in Massachusetts.  The Massachusetts recruiting goal is 54,000 people.

Please get behind and support the 2020 Census.  Any undercount will reduce precious financial resources available to your community and well-paying jobs for your residents can make a big difference in the quality of their lives.
