Building Communities Together

Welcome to NERC NAHRO

The New England Regional Council of the National Association of the Housing and Redevelopment Officials, also known as NERC/NAHRO, is a professional membership organization comprised of over 250 housing and community development agencies throughout the six New England states - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) is the leading housing and community development advocate for the provision of adequate and affordable housing and strong, viable communities for all Americans—particularly those with low- and moderate-incomes.

NERC's mission is to create affordable housing and safe, viable communities for all New England residents, particularly those of low and moderate income.  Through a variety of programs and seminars, NERC/NAHRO ensures that housing and community development professionals have the leadership skills and knowledge to serve their communities, advocate for appropriate laws and policies, and foster the highest standards of ethical behavior, service, and accountability among its members.
